Thanks for joining our quit groups in 2013

The Aboriginal Tobacco Control Project team would like to thank everyone who attended our recent six week Quit Group Programs at Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation and Miller Community Health Centre. The programs were very well attended and have just wrapped up for the Christmas break.

The Quit Group program provides weekly support, free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) products including patches, gum, lozenges and inhalers. Participants also have the opportunity to check their carbon monoxide levels at the weekly groups.

The groups are informal, supportive and give participants the opportunity to get together over a cuppa, have a yarn about their smoking and have some fun along the way. We talk about previous quit attempts, the benefits of quitting and help each other prepare to quit smoking for good. Check out our photos from the group at Tharawal Aboriginal Corporation.
